For all your carpentry needs, from original one-off free-standing pieces to space saving fitted furniture.

Clean, tidy workmanship and a friendly demeanor. I could be the perfect solution to your carpentry needs.

I have been running my own carpentery business in Brighton for 10 years. Prior to this I was a graphic designer and illustrator.

I feel my working background brings a little something extra to the job. I am interested in using different materials and producing exciting, innovative furniture. I believe the customer is vital to the working process – the more involvement in the initial stages, the better. At the initial stage I would encourage a client to source magazine cuttings of work and of materials they like.

Most of my work involves solving storage problems in small spaces. For example, creating shelves and cupboards in alcoves, work areas on landings and generally making the most of what you have got. The more unusual jobs include designer lamps made out of fishing rods with concrete bases, drawers made from floorboards – sanded and varnished of course, tables made of reclaimed old pine doors and carved mahogany legs. Large projects have included designing and fitting The Sussex Produce Company shop in Steyning High Street, a work counter in an artists studio based in Henfield, walk-in wardrobes and bespoke country style kitchens.

It is hard to give specific costs because there are so many variables involved. It depends on materials used, complexity of the design and location of the job. To give some idea, a fitted double wardrobe made out of pine and MDF would cost from £700. A six-seat dining table made from reclaimed pine would cost between £550 and £750.
